Mateus Nhamuche
is a Mozambican multidisciplinary artist born in 1997 in Maputo and trained in Theater at the School of Communication and Arts (ECA), Eduardo Mondlane University. He is a founding member of A Palhota Artes and has been active in the performing arts scene since 2016.
His practice spans acting, directing, playwriting, costume design, lighting, and production, with participation in numerous national and international festivals. He has collaborated with leading Mozambican groups and artists, including TP50, Mutumbela Gogo, Inversos, and Mahamba.
Nhamuche also completed professional training and an internship in France in lighting design, contributing to major contemporary dance and theater events. His work reflects a strong commitment to contemporary African performance and cross-cultural stage creation.
